2020

March:

I had to say goodbye to 'Ridl' tragically young due to neurological issues.

After many years this left me with only the two oldies, and no bitch of breeding age to go forward with after 8 generations.

I was very tempted to give up, (after 28 years) even have a pup of a diffeent breed, but no matter how many breeds there are nothing else but a Norwegian Elkhound would do.

So after consulting with friends in the breed I am hoping to have a puppy from a litter planned from a former pup, if all goes well there will hopefully be a puppy for me in the New Year.

If not there is hope that a bitch from one of my last two litters may be bred from, and I could hope for a puppy in a year to 18 months, so fingers crossed and thinking Pink.

A week later we had 'Total lockdown' due to the Corona Virus pandemic.

2019

August:

Moved home with the three girls ('Ridl', 'Inka'and 'Myka') to West Wiltshire after over 30 years in Bristol.

July:

I allowed 'Peni' to go to live with Clare Case, (a decades long Elkhound owner and breed club member who had recently lost her old dog) in Surrey.  Her squabbles with 'Inka' now 11 had not improved, and it was best for all concerned that 'Peni' be a spoilt only dog.

June:

Had an offer on my house, and had offer accepted on our new home in West Wiltshire.

April:

Puppies having gone to their new home, the home of the Barbelka's was put on the market.

February:

The Barbelka'C2' arrived, 2 girls and one boy.
